I started these experiments with the idea of testing my ability to physically engage with the space and the objects around me, by using my entire body. Something that I had never done before.

On the first attempts, called Fitting in, I play with the boundary between the three dimensionality of reality and the two dimensionality of the world as perceived
through a computer screen. I engage with the boundaries set by the edges of the camera frame, as well as with the virtual boundaries set on the screen by three dimensional objects, like stools. I try to adapt and fit to these boundaries.
In Best buddies, I work with one of the boiler suits from Them, big boys, in an attempt to take this spatial exploration further.
I still test the two dimensional quality of the video, while I explore a way to allude to the construction of my own identity. I made the big boys to be perceived as copies of myself. In this piece, I physically interact with them in an effort to understand and communicate personal aspects about my own self and about the way I experience the world. In these experiments with the suits, I start introducing drawing, as a tool to achieve this.
This introspective exploration, led to Self portrait, explained, another experiment, which I conducted live in front of an audience.
In this work, I mix the concepts that I have been exploring in the previous pieces, at the same time that I incorporate spoken word, as a vehicle to deliver a demonstration of the actions that I am performing. This is an autobiographical piece, which resonates with other strands
of my practice, in which I try to represent my own experiences. In this work I make a more intensive use of drawing, as a means to address the concepts of multiplicity, standardization and modularity, in relation to my own body, which I simultaneously depict, as a three dimensional object, as well as a two dimensional one.
